Air Pressure

Air Pressure Air pressure measures the number molecules combined with their energy that are in a closed system (an area). As one goes up a mountain, the number of molecules falls which reduces the pressure of the air. As you go down under the Ocean, the number of molecules above you increases, and increases the pressure around you.

Pressure and Temperature Pressure is a measure of how much space a substance has.

Pressure and Temperature Pressure is a measure of how much space a substance has. Temperature is a measure of the average Kinetic Energy (KE) of a substance. Together pressure and temperature can change the state of matter that a substance is found in. Ex. At 100 degrees Celsius in normal air pressures, water is a GAS. At 100 degrees Celsius at high air pressures, water is forced into a LIQUID.

Pressure Measured in k. Pa or psi. k. Pa is Kilo - Pascal units.

Pressure Measured in k. Pa or psi. k. Pa is Kilo - Pascal units. At Sea Level there is an air pressure of about 101 k. Pa or 15 psi stands for pounds per square inch.

Implode and Explode Imploding and Exploding happen when there is an unequal air pressure

Implode and Explode Imploding and Exploding happen when there is an unequal air pressure inside and outside of a container. Imploding like our Soda Can, happens when there is a greater pressure outside than there is inside a container. Imploding is what a building does when it is being demolished. https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=_an. Yswm. GMe. M Exploding is the opposite. When the pressure is greater inside than it is outside a container. Exploding is what a bomb does. https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=BUREX 8 a. Fb. Ms
