About my future career Police officers work at a police station which are in town’s and cities. Work inside and outside depending on where the accident's or crime are. The salary range is between $40, 000 and $94, 000. Work shifts are 8 hours a day = 40 Hours per weeks and there is a lot of overtime because of low amount of officers.

This is how I will get those necessary skills: Slow down my talking. Work out at gym, walks and run. Take driving lessons. Practice at a range.

This is what appeals to me with this career… • I want to help people and I do not like it when people do not follow the laws. • I also want to protect the innocent from people who want to harm them.
These are some things I find less appealing about this career… • The paperwork will be exhausting because there will be a lot of it for every incident or arrest. • Police have to deal with the worst of humanity. • Some of the accidents or crime scenes ain’t gonna be pretty! • This may cause mental stress and depression.
The possible obstacles: Cost of the education. Potential obstacles to getting this career Time to study and work. My plan to overcome them: Apply for scholarship. Get a job. Part time job and prioritize.

I intend to go to Langara College for this career It is located in Vancouver B. C. It is a two year program. I will earn a degree in Criminal Justice. You must have a grade 12 diploma with English 12.
