Requirements: 4 credits of English 4 credits of Math 4 credits of Science 4 credits of Social Studies 2 credits of Foreign Language ½ credit of Health 1 credit of PE ½ credit of Speech 1 credit of Fine Arts 5. 0 Credits of Electives TOTAL: 26

Foreign Language 2 credits Both credits must be in the same language n Languages offered: n Spanish n French n Sign Language n

Health Credit. 5 credit n Must be : n. 5 credit of Health Education n 1 credit of Health Science Technology

Physical Education 1. 0 Credits n 1. 0 physical education (one and done) PE Substitutions (can earn 4 credits) n Athletics n Marching Band-1 st semester only n Cheerleading- 1 st semester only n ROTC n Angels

Speech. 5 Credit n Communication Applications

Fine Arts 1 credit n Must be full credit of one of the following n n n n n Choir Band Orchestra Dance Art Theatre Arts Music Theory (you should be able to read music) Music History Art History

Tech Ed n Some of these classes are two year commitments and take up 2 periods of your day. Please make sure you have room in your schedule-and don’t forget to apply on line for the Tech Ed programs.

Electives 5. 0 credits Can choose any 5. 0 credits of classes from any area n If they are in addition to what is required, they are considered an elective. n Ex. 3 rd year of a foreign language or 5 th year of science n

§Elective schedule changes will not be permitted after verifications sheets are returned. §You cannot drop a year long course at semester.

STARR The score on an EOC assessments counts for 15% of the final course grade n Grading: n Term Averages (1 st, 2 nd grading period, etc. ) n Semester Averages (includes semester exam) n Year Average (S 1 and S 2 average n Final Course Grade (includes EOC score) n

Semester 1 Average n Term 1 (43%) + Term 2 (42%) + Sem. Exam (15%) =S 1 Avg. Semester 2 Average n Term 3 (50%) + Term 4 (50%) = S 2 Avg. 2 Example: Semester 1 average = 84 Semester 2 average = 90 (84 + 90)/2 = 87 (year end average) The final course grade will be determined by counting the year end average as 85% of the final course grade and the EOC score as 15% of the final course grade. Final course grades in courses without an EOC exam will not include this calculation. Example: Year end average = 87 EOC score = 92 (87 x 0. 85) + (92 x 0. 15) = 87. 75 (88 Final Course Grade)
