Later, I obtained a master’s degree from Valdosta State University, and currently completing my specialist from Columbus State University. I Graduated from Tuskegee University with my Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science. I begin my journey into education in 2018 first as a paraprofessional then later as an interrelated teacher. When my teacher hat is off, I put my farmer hat on and help my husband with farm planning and create lots of value-added products. My #1 seller is my soups! My name is Mrs. Terry and I am excited to introduce myself as your child’s 2 nd Grade Teacher for this upcoming school year! I was born and raised in Athens, GA (Home of the Georgia Bulldogs) and have worked in the Henry County School District since 2009. I have been married for 20 years and I have two children who have both attended Henry County Schools. My son attends Union Grove High School and is going to the 11 th grade this upcoming fall. My daughter graduated from Union Grove and will begin her Sophomore year at Kennesaw State University this coming Fall where she is majoring in Nursing. I graduated from The University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and just earned my Master’s degree at The University of West Georgia in Early Childhood Education. I am so excited for the opportunity to teach your children this upcoming school year! Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself. I am Kira Cooper. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I also played soccer there all four years. Go wolves! I've taught pre-k for two years, third grade for one year, and taught first grade for four years. I'm excited to be teaching second grade EIP this year and I look forward to adding another year of teaching under my belt! Some of my hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, crafting. I'm chocolate obsessed, love my coffee, and enjoy spending free time wondering the aisles of Target. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to teach. There a lot of educators in my family so I guess you can say teaching is in my blood. Online Absence Excuse Form (Sessions are from 9 am-1 pm Monday-Thursday) ❖ Attendance will be taken daily and monitored. Please login on-time and participate during each session.
