AFFIRMATIVE TÚ COMMANDS • If you would like to tell a friend or family member to do something in Spanish (tell me, wash your hands, pass the salt, etc), you must use affirmative tú commands.

AFFIRMATIVE TÚ COMMANDS • You form an affirmative command by conjugating the verb it into the present tense él/ella/usted (3 rd person singular form) • EXAMPLE • Hablar – Habla! – Speak! • Correr – Corre! – Run!

AFFIRMATIVE TÚ COMMANDS • If the verb is irregular in the él/ella/Ud. form (stem-changer etc. ), it will be irregular in the affirmative tú command as well. • EXAMPLES • Dormir (o-ue) – Duerme! – Sleep! • Servir (e-i) – Sirve! – Serve!
