Summary • 1. Active Chapters are involved with industry, students and technology • 2. Marginal Chapters have stale membership and leaders - they need objectives and visits from AESS Board members and Distinguished Lecturers • 3. Inactive Chapters have lost their way due to – economic conditions, – have less than a critical mass (< 50 members since only 20% of AESS Chapter membership attend meetings), – technology shifts, etc. – these Chapters need a rejuvenation program with the support of the local IEEE Section and Region.
