Introduction To make an efficient presentation use the "4 P" method, developed by Dale Carnegie Training® : Plan, Prepare, Practice and Present. Follow these recommandations and your message as well as yourseld will make a very good impression on your audience.
Plan • Know the people your are talking to : – Knowledge – Experience – Needs – Objectives.
Plan (cont ’d) • Define your objective to your auditors : – Inform and make them feel concerned – Convince – Motivate for an action plan – Sell – Teach Advice – Train. Define and organize your key-points
Prepare • Be positive : – Value your message – Remember your success – Anticipate reactions – Auto-motivate your-self.
Prepare (cont ’d) • Prepare a first sentence that will capture your audience attention : – Ask a question related to the auditors need – Make a sincere compliment – Mention an appropriate event – Crack a light joke.

Prepare (cont ’d) • Prepare an easy to memorize conclusion : – Give life to your main idea : illustrate the fact that what you presented is important – Challenge your audience – Use a motivating assertion – Recall the key benefit of what you exposed – Make a concise summary.
Practice Dale Carnegie Training® identified the three key-factors to make a presentation successful : • Know your subject well • Like it • Show that you want to communicate it.

Practice (cont ’d) • Train yourself in front of a selected group of friends and/or with a coach : – To make your introduction more punchy – To better express your key-points – To make the presentation « fluid » and easy to follow – To pay particular attention to the choice and credibility of your supporting proofs.

Present • Adopt a P. R. O. attitude in your presentations : – Privilege to address this audience – Responsability of the speaker – Opportunity to convince.
