Adverbs of frequency v Adverbs of frequency are used to say how often we do things or how often things happen. v Using Adverbs of frequency: - 100% always : I am always busy on Mondays. - 90% usually : I usually come home after school - 70% often : I often spend Christmas with friends - 60% sometimes: I sometimes play tennis on the weekend. - 5% hardly ever: I hardly ever listen to the radio. - 0% never: I never listen to rock music. Ø Adverbs of frequency go after the verb To Be and before other verbs
Frequency expressions: • I go to the movies every day/ week/ month/ year. once a day/week/ month/ year. twice a day/ week/ month/ year. three times a day/ week/ month/ year. four times a day/ week/ month/ year. • Once means “one time” and twice means “two times. ” • We usually use frequency expressions at the end of a sentence.
