Points to Note: What are adverbs? Adverbs are the words that tell you how an action is done. e. g. happily, softly, quietly. The children are playing happily. The soldier marched smartly.
Points to Note: Prepositions usually occur • before a noun phrase (e. g. at the canteen). They show the position, time, place or direction.
Points to Note: For examples: We went to school at seven o’clock. It shows the time. (when? ) Mary met her mother at MTR station. It shows the place. (where? ) The mouse ran from the cat. It shows the direction. (where? )
