DEFINITION Adverb is any word which gives extra/additional information about the verb, the adjective, the adverb. The adverb generally answers the question when/where/how. Eg: We meet at night(When) The flower is in the hand(Where) We meet alone(How)
KINDS OF ADVERB Adverb of time (It answers the question ‘when’) Eg: We write the 1 st internal test in the 2 nd week of september(when). Adverb of place (It answers the question ‘where’) Eg: We study in Lady Doak College. Adverb of manners (It answers the question ‘How’) Eg: We sit silently in the class
+ Adverb of frequency (It answers the question ‘How often’) Eg: The first hour begins at 9 a. m everyday. Adverb of degree/quantity (It answers the question ‘How much’).
