SNOW BOARDING What is it? This is where you get on a board and go down a mountain that has snow. This is a sport that is used in the winter Olympic games. The board is attached to the person so it wont come off him and make him get injured. You can get very injured from snowboarding and that is why it is an adventurous activity. By doing this activity you will gain benefits such as confidence, balance, fear factor, experience, travelling, meet new people, improves your leg muscles and sense of achievement.
BUNGIE JUMPING What is it? This is where you jump from either a bridge, crane or higher places. You have a long rubber band rope around your ankles to make sure that you don’t fall. once you jump and get to the lowest point you will bounce right back up. By doing this activity you will gain certain benefits such as risk taking, confidence, once in a lifetime, experience, adrenaline rush, frill seeking, meet new people and sense of achievement
ABSEILING What is it? This activity is where you go down a mountain using a rope to help you go down the mountain to ensure that you are safe. When you go down there is someone at the bottom holing the rope and they used a technique called V to the knew, 123. by doing this they can get down safely. By doing this you can gain benefits such as, confidence, teamwork, risk taker, sense of achievement, balance, meet new people, fear factor and experience
KAYAKING What is it? This is where you get into a small boat which carry's 1 or 2 people. To get moving you have a paddle that goes into the river or sea. The boat covers your legs and your body is the only thing on show. When you are on this boat you will have to wear a lifejacket to make sure you don’t tip the boats as that is very common. By doing this activity you will gain benefits such as upper body strength, confidence, experience, meet new people, discover new places, teamwork, balance and fear factor
CAVE DIVING What is it? This is where you go diving underwater in caves. To do this activity you must wear suitable clothing to ensure that you are safe. You will have to wear a scuba outfit so you will wear a wet suit, googles and a oxygen mask. People do this either for scientific investigations or just for fun. By doing this activity you will gain benefits such as, confidence, sense of belief, risk taking, experience, frill seeking, meet new people and discover new places
PGL is a company that provides activity's for schools and for kids in the half term. They offer a lot of activities such as, Jacobs ladder, rock climbing, laser tag, mounting biking and many more fun activities. To go to PGL is will cost you £ 699 for 4 night and adventurous activities all night. Food is included. The age group to attend PGL is 7 to 17 they have this age because over 18 are too old and under 7 is too young for them to do theses activities. PGL have numerous health and safety talks such as, helmets, make sure you tell them your allergies.
GO APE Go ape is a outdoor activity with involves climbing in trees and go though obstacles in the trees. While your up in the trees you have been harnessed onto the tree. Some activities require you to have different harnesses. To go to go ape it will cost you £ 33 if you are 18+. £ 33 for people 16 -17. £ 25 for people 10 -15 go ape has many health and safety checks to make sure people are safe. They ensue that kids below 15 have to be with someone over the age of 18. at the start of the adventure a qualified employs take you on a practice run. This is where you learn about what equipment you will have to uses and why u need to wear them.
CLIMB THE 02 this is an activity that requires you to climb on top of the O 2. whilst you are up the top with will have some time to look at the view of London. When you go up you will have a qualified man or women behind you to ensure you are safe and know what you are doing. This will cost you £ 68 to go up and you get given certain clothes to ensure you are safe. Health and safety checks: these ensure that people are safe. At the start you are taken into a room and get a briefing about what you are about to do. Once that is completed you are given you attire. This is your harnesses and jackets. Later on you get taught how to get up.

COUNTRY SIDE CODE What is it? This is set rules that help protect the country side. They have rules such as, respect others, close gates so animals to get escape, don’t feed animals, keeps dogs under control, don’t drop litter, keeps dogs away from animals and there are many more. DBS What is it? This is a check for criminal records when you apply for a job for when you are working with children. The check is on a document which is handed in by the police or government departments. Why do we have this? We have this because you will be looking after kids in activities so you will needed to be trusted by you fellow colleges. If you don’t get a DBS check and if you have done something bad you could repeat it and this new place. DBS stands for disclosure- barring-service
QUALIFICATION What is it? To de certain adventures activities you will need to qualifications to get the job. By getting these qualification you will get the job and it shows the company that you are safe, trusted and know what you are doing. Numerous qualification that are needed are: first aid, D of E, climbing instructor, instructors, sports coaches and paddle power.
CORRECT CLOTHING - PPE- this stands for personal-protectionequipment. By wearing the correct equipment you are able to keep your self safe and keep others safe. If you do rock climbing you will have to have correct climbing equipment such as, helmets, harness, safety rope, knee pads and carbina. These equipment ensure that you are safe and others are safe.
ENVIRONMENT FACTORS When people go skiing they will need to travel country's because certain places are cold and have more snow and mountains. To get to these countries you will need to get a plane and by getting on a plane it uses up lots of fuel and spreads loads of pollution Another environment factor is motorcross. If you crash your bike in the woods it could create a fire and could become a forest fire. Also, the bikes uses up fuel so this effects pollution in the air
