Frequently Asked Questions 1. How much do these Program Cost? IB, AP, and ECPI courses are all free to students. Students enrolled in the Early College Program are also free. Students who take classes as a part of Dual Enrollment are required to pay the tuition for Trident Technical College. That tuition varies in cost from year to year.
Frequently Asked Questions 2. How do colleges look at these programs? Do they accept all the credits? Most colleges in the United States accept AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment credits. How they transfer to their particular institution, and how many can transfer at a time, is up to that particular college or university. It is recommended that you look at the college website for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions 3. I am a student who does not know what I want to do after high school. Which program is best for me? It depends. It is recommended that you try as many types of courses as you can while they are free. When you get to college, you have to pay for them. Most likely you are interested in a couple of different fields. Try a little of each.
Frequently Asked Questions 4. How do Advanced Studies courses affect my GPA? Each Advanced Studies course falls under the AP weighting category under the Uniform Grading Policy.
Frequently Asked Questions 5. What is the difference between the AP Diploma and the AP Capstone Diploma? The IB Diploma is more of a holistic model toward education. You are also required to take the EE, TOK, and CAS. The AP Capstone adds the AP Seminar and the AP Research course to any four additional AP courses to receive the diploma. You may also take the Seminar and Research class by themselves to earn the Capstone Certificate. How colleges look at each program may also be different. Some colleges offer full rides for IB Diploma graduates.
Frequently Asked Questions 6. For the AP Capstone Diploma, which courses am I required to take? Students who wish to earn the AP Capstone Diploma are required to take AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP courses. Students are also required to pass the AP exams for each course with a qualifying score of 3 or above.

Room • Indicate which classes you would like to take by crossing through the classes you wish to drop • If you wish to enroll in the IB Diploma Program, you would need to indicate that on your verification sheet and a counselor will call you down. • Turn verification sheet into counseling office.
