User and Functional Requirements 3
User Requirements Nr Requirement Description UR 1 UR 5 user selects activity type user selects search parameters such as functional status(*), location, timer interval, technical parameters for each parameter selected, the user can define an interval of the parameter value as filter for data selection for each parameter, the user can tick whether or not this parameter should be listed as a result of the data query a list of components is displayed fulfilling the selection criteria defined by the user UR 6 the list can be exported to an Excel or Ascii file UR 2 UR 3 UR 4 Does it? Y Y Y Only Excel (*) not DIR defined. So the same filter is applied to IN/OUT if both are selected 4
Functional Requirements Nr Requirement Description FR 1 selection of a type of activity using drop down menu A list of parameters is displayed as a function of the activity type. Parameters can be selected by ticking a box for the selected activity type, the user can select one or multiple locations using tick boxes (no selection: all locations of an activity type are valid) for a selected activity type, the user can select a time interval by choosing start and end date using a pop up calendar (no selection: all dates) for a selected activity, the user can select a functional status (*) using a tick box (no selection: all status values) FR 2 FR 3 FR 4 FR 5 FR 6 FR 8 for a selected activity type, the user can select further parameters for data filtering by ticking for each parameter selected by the user for a given activity type, the user can define an interval of valid parameters as selection criterion using free text input field (no selection: all values of the selected parameter are valid) for each parameter of an activity type, the user selects whether or not this parameter appears in the list of components described below FR 9 display list of components fulfilling selection criteria. One line per component. date, location, functional status always displayed. One further column per ticked parameter FR 10 Export list to excel and Ascii file: push export Excel or export Ascii button, enter file name, write to user defined directory FR 7 Does it? Y Y Y Y Not always Only Excel 5
Examples. (Spoiler alert: Page-refreshing bugs to be expected) 6
Example 1. Succeeded (DIR selection affects results) Step Description 1 select activity type “chiptest” | Alpide Chip Functional Checkup 2 3 select functional status ok select location (ex. Pusan) | There is only CERN 4 no selection of specific dates a list of all working chips is displayed including component Id, location, date of chip test 5 Example 2. Succeeded (Acts. w/o Comps not shown: 28 out of 39 for funct. no selected) Step Description 1 select activity type HIC test | IBHIC Qualification Test 2 3 select functional status nok | No selection | IBHIC-STANDARD select location CERN 4 select time interval | Average noise threshold nominal 0 V a list of all non-working IB HIC is displayed that have been 5 produced at CERN Note: “No parameter selected” was not foreseen and returns records 7
Example 3. Succeeded Step Description 1 select activity type HIC test | OBHIC Qualification Test 2 3 no selection of functional status no selection of date 4 no selection of location 5 select parameter "noise” | Average noise threshold nominal 0 V 6 define selection interval for parameter "noise” | 5 - 6 7 select parameter "current" for listing | Back bias current 0 V a list of all HICs corresponding to noise values within selection interval is displayed 8 Results affected by: - Parameter “Back bias current 0 V” = “N/A” - Qual. Test Activities w/o input/output components - In + out selection 8
Modification proposals 9
Modifications Nr Description 1 Act. Type: Parameter filter selection should allow “All”, ”Any”, ”None”, ”Not one”. 2 Act. Type: If no parameter is selected for filtering, the result should list all the activities of a given type. Equivalent to filter by Act. Type on screen Activities. 3 Act. Type: There should be a filter for “Activity Status” (open, close, etc) 4 Comp. Type: Include also a filter for Physical Status. 5 Comp. Type: Differentiate Phys. and Func. status for input and output components 6 Results should be presented on a new tab. 7 Result table should be sortable by any column. 8 Result table should provide links to “Activity Name”, “Comp. Type” and “Comp. Name”. 10
Bugs 11
Bugs Nr Description 1 2 Time-out or refreshing problem is reflected as empty result list. If the page is reloaded it takes a long time to do it and usually hangs. If then one goes back, the Advanced filer form is presented with errors. 3 Typo: Result screen “Funcion Status” 12
