Practice Drills Introduction • Will help bowlers achieve consistency and balance • Drills should be repeated in sets of six • Get permission from center management before going past the foul line
Safety • Proper-fitting bowling ball - Custom Ball - Modified House Ball using bowlers tape • Dry hands - Towel to dry hand between sets • Space - Adequate space between bowlers • Common sense - Keep assistants and spectators out of harm’s way

Athletic Pose (setup) • Used for drills that utilize steps to deliver the ball.

On-lane drill 1 Ball Start Purpose: To create a smooth and consistent ball start

On-lane drill 1 Armswing Purpose: To teach bowlers the feel of a straight armswing, promoting a straighter ball path.
On-lane drill 1 Follow Through Purpose: The bowler let the ball swing freely without controlling or manipulating the swing.
Off-lane drill 1 Rolling the Ball Purpose: To teach the bowler the feel of the ball rolling off their fingers.
Off-lane drill 1 Footwork Purpose: To teach bowlers how to develop consistent footwork and achieve balance.
On-lane drill 2 Release Purpose: To teach bowlers the feel of rolling the ball off their hand to create revolutions.
Spare Drill 2 3 -6 -9 Circuit Purpose: To teach the importance of making spares. • Circuit – bowlers shoot the 3, 6, 10, 2, 4, and 7 pins in consecutive order.
Spare Drill 2 Off the Rack Purpose: To increase the bowlers ability to hit corner pins.
Spare Drill 2 Random Single Pin Purpose: Increase the bowler’s ability to make spares.
Targeting Drill 2 Bull’s-eye arrow Purpose: Teaches bowlers to keep their eyes on the target
Off-lane drill 2 Football Hook Release Purpose: To teach bowlers about hooking the ball and how it is achieved.

How to Run Circuit Training will be based on how many bowlers you have during your practice session.
