Reviewing Secure Assessment Components p. 20 Persons outside of local district employment can request to review test materials (restricted access under supervision). KDE: OAA: DAAS: ss/pp: 08/2020 Local districts are not required to allow reviews of secure materials. KDE may permit a review of materials at KDE offices in Frankfort based on availability of appropriate staff to supervise the review. Individuals reviewing materials will be monitored at all times and are required to sign a legally-binding nondisclosure form. 7

Test Irregularities Examples Here are some examples, but not limited to: v Students making distracting noises or gestures during test v Student leaving room without authorization v Medical emergencies v Disruptions such as a non-scheduled fire drill, power or Internet outage or weather-related event causing student to leave the room v Students working ahead in a test booklet while proper monitoring was taking place, and no other student gained a testing advantage. v Students responding in the wrong area of the answer document where appropriate practices were used to correct the answer document and the student did not gain a testing advantage. v Students accessing cell phones for personal communication not related to testing and the student did not gain a testing advantage. v Students with accommodations were not provided his/her accommodation. Student Data and Nonacademic Indicator Reporting p. 20 Local districts are responsible for submitting and/or correcting student data and nonacademic indicators as accurately as possible for use in public reporting. KDE: OAA: DAAS: ss/pp: 08/2020 Submitting incorrect data for the purpose of inaccurately affecting public reports is considered a violation. Schools and districts shall follow KDE guidance on the release of data during the data review periods and adhere to embargoed dates. 14
