PVA adhesive PVA Adhesive (Polyvinyl Acetate) is a water based adhesive that is white and creamy in appearance. It used for gluing wood to wood. PVA is applied as a thin layer on one surface then the work is cramped, excess glue removed and left to cure. The adhesive sets in 2 hours and is fully cured within 24 hours. PVA adhesive is generally Not Waterproof and therefore unsuitable for exterior work.

Using PVA adhesive 1) Remove any dust from the joint 2) Apply PVA adhesive to all contact surfaces 3) Spread glue thoroughly 4) Clamp 5) Remove excess glue with damp cloth and allow to dry 6) Finished

To mix add 2 parts powder to 1 part water (by weight) in a non metallic container and mix into a creamy paste. This glue is then applied to the joint and cramped for 6 hours. Cascamite is a waterproof adhesive suitable for outdoor use.
