ADELE Adele’s full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. She was born in Tottenham, London on May 5, 1988. Adele was an only child and raised by her mother after her father left them when she was two years old. Adele began singing at the age of 4 and she enjoyed it so much she did that more than anything else.
EARLY INFLUENCES • Some of her other early influences were Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Roberta Flack. She says she taught herself to sing by listening to these artists. She credits Ella Fitzgerald for teaching her acrobatics and scales, Etta James for passion and Roberta Flack for control
Adele credits the BRIT school for Performing Arts & Technology for nurturing her talent. She graduated from the school in May of 2006. Two of her fellow classmates were Leona Lewis and Jessie J.
A few months after graduation Adele got her big break when a friend posted a couple of her songs on Myspace. This got her noticed from XL Recordings who she signed with in September of 2006. She made her first television appearance in June of 2007 on a BBC show called “Later with Jools Holland”. Her first song was “Hometown Glory”, which she wrote when she was 16.

On October 19, 2012 Adele gave her birth to her son Angelo who she had with Simon Konecki. She and Konecki were married some time in 2017 in a secret wedding. She now lives in East Grinstead, West Sussex with her husband son.
Adele has a generous heart and has given back to the music community. She has given contributions to Musi. Cares a charity for musicians in need. Adele also has a rule that any backstage visitors to her concerts donate a minimum contribution of 20 US dollars to a UK charity called SANDS which is a charity for that supports anyone affected by the death of a baby. In one leg of her European tour, she raised 13, 000 dollars for the charity
Adele is also a big proponent for the LGBTQ community she believes that everyone should be treated fairly, regardless of race or sexuality. She dedicated one of her shows to the victims of the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Florida
Adele is one of the most successful women in the United Kingdom. She was listed as one of the 100 most powerful women in the United Kingdom. She also appeared on the Time 100 list of most influential people.

Retrieved 2011 -10 -14. ) As of 2011, it had sold over 1, 200, 000 digital copies. It was written by Adele and EG White. She has stated that the influence behind the song was a former boyfriend in which she was asking herself “What is it that your chasing? ”
