There you are! And you’re back in! Today we are going to learn how to offer coupons and discounts on the Member Information Center and Chamber website. Watch for other tutorials on using the other fun features!
There are two discounts/coupons/deals options. Community Coupons are discounts or deals you make available to the general public – the community. They are publicized on the Chamber website for anyone to see. Member-to-Member Discounts are discounts or deals you offer ONLY to your fellow Chamber Members. These deals are ONLY published on the Member Information Center. You’ll need to decide if you’re offering a deal for the public or an exclusive perk to your fellow Chamber Members. This tutorial will walk you through both options.
First, let’s post a coupon, promotion, or discount for the public. Click on “Community Coupons. ”
Click on “ Add Community Coupon. ” Remember, these are promotions meant for the general public.
A word about Categories: This drop down will populate with the category or categories your Company is assigned. If you only have one option, choose that. We recommend including your Company name in the title so that when the deal is tweeted, people will see that YOU are offering the deal. We recommend choosing one font and sticking with it throughout your post. You may copy and paste from Word, but be sure to review it to ensure it looks right. Sometimes Word will inject formatting you did not intend. We recommend a minimum font size of 14 when customizing your posting. Remember a short description.
Set a beginning and ending date for your deal. If there “is no end, ” set the end date a year or more from now. You’ll need to repost when it “expires. ” Photos always add a little something special to your post. Click “Add Image. ”
Click “Choose File. ”
Find your logo on your own computer. Click on the graphic you want, and the name of it will show up here. Click “Open. ”
Ensure that this is the file you wanted. Click “Done. ”
Now THAT looks fun! Tell them who can help with inquiries. Or you can always use your Company logo.
If your publish date is different from your deal run date, you may set these as different dates. However, dates are required here, and cannot be changed once you submit the deal. Click “Submit. ”
Let’s preview it! Chamber staff reviews submissions daily. If there any questions, you’ll be contacted. Now you wait…

We got replies about it in the mere moments it was up before we quietly took it down so that shows you that people pay attention to our Twitter feed and you should definitely use this feature!)
