Addendum II Table of Engineering Documentation Deliverables Steve
Addendum II: Table of Engineering Documentation Deliverables Steve Holmes Fermilab Technical Coordinator 7 December 2017
Background It was agreed upon in the July 2016 meeting to create tables indicating engineering documentation deliverables that DAE could expect to receive from Fermilab, in support of the R&D program. These are captured as an Addendum (II) to the Joint R&D Project Document Action Items from January, 2017 IIFC Meeting: “Drafts of the two Addenda were discussed in detail. While much progress has been made, more work is needed to complete Addendum 2 and to make the dates in the two Addenda consistent. It is agreed that this process will be completed by 15 February 2017, after which Addendum 1 and Addendum 2 can be put up for approva by the Principal Coordinators. ” Since then, several itenations: • Addendum II forwarded to DAE on Jan 31, 2017 • Comments from DAE received March 21, 2017 • Updated Addendum II forwarded to DAE Jul 5, 2017 • Updated comments from DAE received August 11, 2017 • Revised Addendum forwarded to DAE November 28, 2017 2 – Updated dates and reformatting – Primarily inquiries as to where information can be found and several typos S. Addendum II Fermilab Table of Deliverables is structured to reflect engineering processes at Fermilab • Two R&D phases: – Prototype Phase – Final Design Phase • Processes described in Fermilab Engineering Manual, and application to IIFC R&D phase described in Team. Center document ED 0005292. • Addendum II consists primarily of tables giving: – Anticipated delivery dates for engineering deliverables • “Done” if the deliverable is complete – Document number for the associated EPDM, which serves as an index • All PIP-II engineering documentation is maintained in Team. Center. – Documents are transferred to the DAE SANGAM server by DAE librarians 4 S. Holmes | Addendum II 7 -Dec-2017
Addendum II/Supporting Documentation Details • We have established a standard description of supporting documentation at the sub-component level – – – – FRS Risk Assessment TRS (often including interface specifications) Preliminary Design Review Documentation 3 -D models Engineering drawings Procurement Readiness Review Engineering Notes Final Design Review Documentation Manufacturing processes QA Interface specifications Operational Readiness Clearance • Not all elements are required for each sub-components 5 S.
