TO THEATRE STUDIO The show will take place at Esplanade Theatre Studio is on Level 4. I can get to Theatre Studio from either of these directions: a. from the Basement 1 tunnel entrance or carpark b. from the Esplanade Mall driveway entrance. AT THEATRE STUDIO Before I go into the Theatre Studio, I will see an actor dressed in a costume. The actor is there to greet me. She will greet me by playing on her ukulele and singing a song. THE USHER When I walk into theatre, another friend from Esplanade will greet me. This person is the usher. The usher is friendly. The usher helps people by showing them where they can sit. PERFORMANCE SPACE A performance space is where the actors do their work and move around. MUSIC AND SONGS The actors will also sing many songs. I can sing along to the songs and move to the music if I want to. DURING THE SHOW MOVING ABOUT If I need to get up and move during the show, that is OK. If I need to get up and go to the toilet during the show, that is OK too. DURING THE SHOW CLAPPING People may clap during the show when they like what the actors are doing. People don’t clap for a long time. They clap only for a while. If something makes me happy and I want to clap, that is OK. If the clapping is too loud, I can cover my ears. If I feel uncomfortable and wish to leave theatre during the show, that is OK too! AFTER THE SHOW After the show ends, the lights will come back on. The theatre will be bright again. People will leave theatre when the show is over. It might get crowded.
