Third International Master in Nasal Cytology (Berlin, Germany, 26. – 28. 06. 2014) The International Master in Nasal Cytology will be structured in frontal lectures and practical works at the microscope. International Tinnitus Seminar – WORKSHOPS Berlin. 21. 5. – 24. 5. 2014 Topics of the International Tinnitus Seminar 2014 include the progress in basic research as well as novel diagnostic, imaging and therapeutic methods, cochlear implants and tinnitus, treatment of comorbid diseases (e. g. depression or anxiety) in tinnitus patients and many other themes. 16 th International Otology course June 26. – 28. 2014 Beziers, France The international Faculty designed the needs assessment process. Seven otological issues were identified as being most important. Discussions in prioritizing the issues were held anually since 13 years with the 20 faculty members of 9 countries after each Course. The expected educational outcomes are a better knowledge of each otological issue and an improved skills by understanding the techniques required to perform safe and efficient ear surgery and the technical solutions required for unusual problems that a surgeon might encounter. Congress of the Union of the European Phoniatricians - Phoniatrics an Interdisciplinary Specialty Moscow, Oct. 2 – 5. 2014 The assessment process of our pre-program bases on discussions with the UEP national coordinators and the representatives of the European Academy of Phoniatrics. Educational objectives and fulfillment of learning needs 11) The Provider must structure the LEE to fulfill defined educational needs. 12) The Provider must define the “target audience”. 13) The Provider must identify the expected educational outcome.

Description of the LEE 14) The Provider must provide a descriptive title and the nature of the LEE 15) The LEE must be presented in a manner suitable for an international audience. 16) The LEE must include methods to promote active learning. 17) The Provider must provide detailed information about the duration of the LEE

Description of the LEE 18) The Provider must indicate how it will be verified that the learner has engaged with the LEE. 19) The LEE must be conducted in compliance with all relevant ethical, medico-legal, regulatory, industry-based and legal requirements.

Details of the provider 20) The Provider must provide a description of the Provider organisation. 21) The Provider must state the names and titles of those involved in the LEE 22) The Provider must state the name, title and contact details of whom responsible for the application of accreditation of the LEE.

The scientific and/or organising committee 23) The Provider must provide names, titles, and contact details of the members of the scientific and /or organising committee. 24) The Provider must ensure that all members of the scientific and /or organising committee declares potential conflicts of interest. 25) The Provider must confirm that any conflicts of interest have been resolved. 26) The scientific and /or organising committee must declare that the LEE will provide a scientifically balanced program.

The Faculty 27) The Provider must ensure that all members of the faculty provide a declaration of conflicts of interest.

The programme 28) The Provider must provide the latest version of the program at the time of application.

Funding of LEE 29) The EACCME will only consider for accreditations LEE that fulfill all specific requirements. Accordingly, events provided by pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries will not be considered. 30) The sources of all funding must be declared. 31) The scientific and /or organising committee must confirm that all content of LEE is free of any attempt to influence the content by sponsors. 32) The Provider must submit information about the total number of learners and the fees.

Promotional material 33) All educational material must be free of any form of advertising. 34) Specific examples of what will lead to automatic rejection: • • Sponsors name in the title of program, a session, or a lecture. The display of brand name/logo in the program or a lecture. The EACCME will accept a single page acknowledgment in the program where all sponsors are recognised. It must be clearly separated from the scientific part of the program.

Promotional material 36) The Provider must confirm that it will comply with national rules, regulations, and industry standards regarding exhibition areas where companies are permitted to present their products.

Review by learners 37) The Provider must provide means for the learners to provide feedback on the LEE. 38) The EACCME reserves the right to request doctors , who will be attending the LEE, to provide independent information about the fulfillment of the criteria.

Mechanism of application 39) The only application form that will be accepted is that made available at 40) www. eaccme. eu. An applicant must not attempt to influence the decision of the EACCME.

Criteria and decision-making for accreditation 42) The application will be reviewed simultaneously by the two EACCME designated evaluation bodies: a) the National Accreditation Authority. b) the relevant speciality-based EACCME accreditation body in UEMS 44) EACCME accreditation requests support from both evaluation bodies.

Fees 51) The fee for an application is determined in accordance with the expected total attendance of learners. 0 - 250 participants: 350 Euros 251 – 500 participants: 650 Euros 501 – 1000 participants: 950 Euros 1001 – 2000 participants: 1250 Euros 2001 – 5000 participants: 2450 Euros More than 50000: 4250 Euros
