WHAT IS ACTION RESEARCH? This type of research has been going on in education. Involves “reflective practice” and “the teacher as researcher”. This means that the teacher has to analyze their own teaching and identify a problem and think about possible solutions. After that, the teacher subjects it to questioning and then develops ideas or alternatives to improve it. In this kind of research the teacher becomes an “investigator” and at the same times a “participant”.
