+ Literature Review: n Consult five(+) sources. n Expected length: 3 -5 pages. n Summarize what you learned as you completed your literature review. n Organize the material around themes you noted across articles. n Include quotes from your research as you discuss the information you gathered. n Include citations within the body of the work like this: (Author's Last Name, Date) n This should be a substantial section of your proposal. n You have done a lot of reading in a specific area. What did you learn?

+ Description of Intervention n Describe your intervention or innovation (if applicable). n Expected length: 1 -2 pages. n In many Action Research Projects, your research tests the results of a new intervention or innovation, or program within your classroom, school or district setting. n If you are doing this with your research, please briefly describe the intervention here. n If you are not implementing a new program or innovation, please indicate: Not applicable to this research proposal.

+ Methodology n Describe your research design and methodology in this section. n Include an in-depth discussion of how you will carry out your research. n If there are limitations, that may affect the outcome of your research, describe them in this section. An example of a limitation would be a high rate of students moved away n during the course of the research, etc. n Expected length: 2 -3+ pages + survey instruments, etc. n What data will you gather? n Include survey instruments, etc. in the body of your paper, or create an Appendix section at the end of the proposal and organize them within that section.
