ACF in Ukraine ACF has opened a mission in Ukraine in the end of 2014 and has been operational since summer 2015 to meet the most urgent needs. ACF works under 3 directions: • Food Security • WASH • MHCP

Breastfeeding and IYCF corners to support Pregnant and Lactating IDPs Women The support for PLWs was organized in the form of group information sessions in prenatal clinics and in maternity houses in Starobelsk, Belovodsk, Lissichansk, Belokurakion and Popasnaya. 3 corners were launched in Severodonetsk, Belovodsk and Novoaydar.

IYCF Corners Number of PLW coming to the corners - 241 persons Type of counselling: mostly group sessions, with some individuals

IYCF Corners Topics of the group session: breast observation, “good” suckling, importance of early and exclusive breastfeeding, baby development and its dependence on mother emotional support, food products improving lactation and useful for the health of the baby and the mother, etc.

Baby kits for pregnant women ACF has distributed 130 baby kits for the most vulnerable pregnant women in Lugansk region. Together with the kits ACF distributed breastfeeding materials provided by UNICEF.
