Diagnostic evaluation Echocardiograph: - create pictures of the heart and its arteries. Blood tests: Blood q CBC q Erythrocytes and hemoglobin - rule out other illnesses. q Platelet count - elevated white blood cell count, q Ig. M, Ig. A, Ig. G, and Ig. F q Urine - low red blood cell count q Acute phase reactants (ESR, CRP - inflammation. alpha I antitrypsin) q Myocardial enzyme levels (CK-MB) Chest X-ray: q Liver enzymes (AST, ALT) q Lipid profile - heart failure and inflammation. Electrocardiogram: - indicate heart has been affected by KD. Kawasaki disease - infant / child : fever more than five days. - if they’re showing other classic symptoms of KD like peeling skin. ผศ. กาญจนา ศรเจรญวงศ

Nursing intervention • • • Monitor pain level and child’s response to analgesics. Continual cardiac monitoring for complications: arrhythmias. Take vital signs as directed by condition; report abnormalities. Assess: myocarditis (tachycardia, gallop rhythm, chest pain). Monitor: HF (dyspnea, nasal flaring, grunting, retractions, cyanosis, orthopnea, crackles, jugular veins engorged, edema). • Closely monitor I/O • Monitor hydration : skin turgor, weight, urinary output, specific gravity, and tears. • Observe mouth and skin frequently for signs of infection ผศ. กาญจนา ศรเจรญวงศ
