Metric 032: Comprehensive Fetal Echocardiographic Examination • We searched the reporting timeframe in Syngo (PACS system for echo) using study type as fetal • We selected the complete studies only • We reviewed report of each study and excluded ones with abnormal function, structure or rhythm or poor windows.

Metric 032: Comprehensive Fetal Echocardiographic Examination • Then, we reviewed images of the rest using Qnet score sheet. • Each study review took about 10 minutes. • Only issue we found seems to be both branch PAs adequate visualizations (3 out of 10 studies).

Metric 030: Diagnostic Accuracy of Fetal Echocardiography • Our fetal nurse navigator updates our fetal tracking database weekly. • If she finds a discrepancy between postnatal and fetal echos, she notifies fetal QI sonographer and medical director. • Fetal QI sonographer will review the detailed reports of fetal echo and postnatal testing available then label the type of discrepancy.

Metric 030: Diagnostic Accuracy of Fetal Echocardiography • Fetal medical director reviews the discrepancy list monthly and determines the possible causes and if avoidable. • We report the moderate to severe discrepancy cases that typically requires intervention in infancy to ACC Qnet using the assigned sheet.

Metric 031: Prenatal Detection of Severe Structural Congenital Heart Defects • CT surgery/CICU data coordinator provides a list of neonates (<=28 days of life) who had Cath or surgery at our center each quarter along with their mom’s names. • Medical director reviews Syngo under mom’s names to see if fetal echos were done.

Metric 031: Prenatal Detection of Severe Structural Congenital Heart Defects • If fetal echo found, we review the reports to determine if a CHD diagnosis was made (doesn’t have to be exact same diagnosis). • We report the ones that don’t have prenatal CHD diagnosis using the assigned sheet.
