Post Harvest Management and Marketing support v Rice Mills are being established in partnership

Post Harvest Management and Marketing support v Rice Mills are being established in partnership with private entrepreneurs to boost up Rice production and offer financial security to the farmers. v Palm Oil Mill with a capacity of 5 MT per hour has been set up in partnership with reliable private sector Company thus ensuring a steady income source for the farmers. v Godowns and storage structures have been constructed under RKVY at several places to provide linkage between farms and markets for the farmers. v Market sheds are constructed under RKVY at the Roadsides and other convenient places for the farmers to display and sell their produces without involving middlemen thus maximizing profit for the farmers.

Future Strategy & Road Map for achieving higher production of food grains and Oilseeds

Future Strategy & Road Map for achieving higher production of food grains and Oilseeds • To transform agricultural practice from subsistence oriented to commercial enterprise and to make Agriculture a sustainable livelihood support thereby uplifting economy of the farming community. • To identify and target the types of Agriculture Commodities to be promoted based on local demand prefernces and which markets to focus on. • To develop data base on genotypes of local crop varieties and identification of varieties suited to specific soil types, disease incidence etc. for different agro-climatic zones. • Ensuring timely supply of Agricultural Inputs.

Future Strategy & Road Map for achieving higher production of food grains and Oilseeds

Future Strategy & Road Map for achieving higher production of food grains and Oilseeds • Dissemination of improved Technology to farmers for increase production and productivity through demonstrations, trainings and exposure visits. • Promotion of Farm mechanization to increase farm power. • Diversification of Agriculture for higher farm income. • Improved seed replacement rate for higher crop production. • Enforcement of various Acts to ensure supply of quality inputs.
