How will we use Kid. Biz in school? Read news articles and go through the five step process at least once a week. n Integrate articles into the different subject areas. n Respond to writing prompts and complete activities in the Writing Center. n
How will we use Kid. Biz in school? n The five step process: n Read and respond to email. n Read the article. n Complete the activity questions. n Answer the thought question. (Remember to look at the rubric and the criteria for the response. ) n Answer the poll.
How can you use Kid. Biz at home? Provide time for your students to log onto Kid. Biz. n Discuss daily articles with your children. n Help your children search for interesting articles. n Allow students to visit the Technology Center and the Stock Market System. n **We will try to email you at the beginning of each week with a list of the articles we will work on in school. At home, the students can read and complete the five step process for other articles that will not be read in
Possible Home Extension Activities n Students may be asked to… n Complete Kid. Biz class work at home. n Search for articles about certain topics and complete the activities related to the article. Prepare to share new knowledge and participate in class discussions about the articles. n Use written communication skills to send messages to me or other students through the email system.
