How/when/why for AE work HOW: n AE firms submit SF 330 s in response to Fed. Biz. Ops announcements n District awards Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract to AE firms (5 years in duration) n Types are Multidiscipline, Survey (land & hydro), Cost Engineering and Instrumentation n Can use other district’s AE contracts or share (capacity) of our contracts n Task orders are issued against those contracts BUILDING STRONG SM
How/when/why for AE work WHEN/WHY: n For each project, Workload Group decides if the work will be performed in -house or by outsourcing. n Outsourcing includes using other districts, AE firms or using our Design. Build contracts. n Group looks at capacity, capability, maintaining or growing in-house experience, project schedule and project costs. n Note: Almost all survey work is done by an AE BUILDING STRONG SM
