• Program administered through CIEE • This program is in a extremely unique and interesting part of the world • Preparing yourself mentally for arriving in Ghana and coming back to the USA is very important • Must complete full application for CIEE *EXPECT CULTURE SHOCK* But also expect a lot of Fun!

Dates/Requirements: • Fall Semester: early August to mid December • Spring Semester: late January to late May • Requirements • GPA of 2. 75 • find a full course load in Ghana • No disciplinary issues

Housing - Students live in an International Residence Hall. The Hall has very few amenities and is bare bone basic. Entrance tended by at least 2 security guards 24/7 OR - Homestay option(this option includes some meals. Keep in mind this option will involve a 30 -40 minute commute to campus

Academics • Students study at University of Ghana, Legon • Students are required to take Twi Language • Being a large University most disciplines are offered. Be sure to save History, English, Philosophy, Theology second cores. Political Science, Psychology and Global Studies courses are available. • Registration is all done on site and most every class must be approved, so more responsibility on students part (Don’t worry Advisor will help!)

Costs • Study Abroad Program Fee- $550 • Reduced Comprehensive Fee- $150 • All scholarships and financial aid apply except for Federal Work Study and athletic scholarships • Loyola tuition • Loyola housing • Food, Excursions, Entertainment, Souvenirs etc. Ghana is generally very inexpensive!
