EMERGENCY EVACUATION � Persons with disabilities should be included in fire safety training. � Alarm signals such as flashing lights, vibrating beds or variable velocity fans can alert residents with hearing and/ or visual impairments. � High-rise buildings should have special fireproof lifts for the exclusive use of people with mobility impairments, in emergencies (these lifts are also beneficial for the fire fighters to get into the building in case of fire). �- Have an alarm switch installed between 900 mm and 1200 mm from the floor level. 20
