The Journey Has Just Begun Our story begun when I met my wife. She lived on the second floor without an elevator. We started to travel Our Mission We want everyone to have unlimited access to travel the world. Like the explorers that discovered new lands, today we are creating a new map of the world: one that is accessible to all. We invite you to take part in this adventure
Accesstravels is : A community based application that offers every possible kind of accessible travel for the physically disabled available in the world. Users book their trips on the site which targets both the physically disabled, including visually impaired and seniors. Service includes reviews of local guides with disabilities themselves, who are experts in accessible travel in their area, and share experiences, plus travel companions who are not disabled. Site collects reliable user-generated data with special smart algorithms that check accessibility. We launched 2 months ago , in December of 2019 as a Social Israeli Start-up for accessible for all , inclusive travel. We operate in Europe , Israel and Russia and already filled data for 12 destinations
Research and Market According to our survey with 5, 000 physically disabled people, due to lack of information regarding accessible travel for the physically disabled, 65% of the physically disabled travel less than 1 time per year, compared with 4 times per year travel undertaken by their peers and relatives without physical disabilities. 13% of the people surveyed have never travelled at all. Potential market and what is the addressable market size? Inclusive tourism sector. This group represents $56. 49 billion per year, or 10% of overall tourism expenditure. People without disabilities travel 4 times per year, and people with disabilities travel less than once a year. We Can multiply the volume of travel for disabled by at least twice + 20%
The innovative aspect With the first step the user takes – registration - we request information about their accessibility needs. When the user books the hotel or travel activity, we send these details to the supplier, and then fulfill the user's accessibility requirements in order to travel. We differ from OTA, Booking, Airbnb who offer a lot of data but do not offer adjustable information regarding accessibility. On our community based platform every person with disability, as well as abled body people, can become local guides and find their travel companions. In collaboration with another great team we are going to develop a smartphone app that will utilize modern AI and Image Processing technologies which will be adaptable to every type of accessibility need, offering accommodations and attractions to be stored on the cloud in one click.
Traction and Impact We have had interaction with 5, 500 new active users in the last year on social media. 2. 7 thousands posts in the last month. 700 pages of stories. Requests for 144 travel destinations for which disabled people previously were unable to find reliable information on any reliable website, therefore unable to book. Impact 5 years – 150, 000 new customers. 250 new travel destinations. What will be accessible for 5% wheelchair users will also be accessible for seniors within the inclusive travel sector. This increase will raise the total value to over 25% of the market by 2022.
Our Inspiration Dilyara Sadikulyna – our first client: a completely blind writer from a small city, who dreamed to travel to Paris. Every travel agency declined her request. She wanted to travel alone. We found volunteers in Paris who accompanied her from arrival to departure. In response to this case, we started a volunteers section on our website. When Dilyara came back home she wrote the novel – "Feel Paris", available on our website in Russian.
