How to avoid plagiarism? Most cases of plagiarism can be avoided by: �Citing the proper sources and acknowledging the original material. �Providing the sustainable model developed by the institutions in order to detect and prevent plagiarism. �Teaching students about plagiarism and how to avoid it helps to minimize plagiarism. �Introducing laws against plagiarism. �Creating a culture of research rather than detecting and punishing for plagiarism.
Plagiarism �stealing and passing off others ideas and words as your own; �using other’s production without crediting the source; or �Giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation. �Providing inaccurate information regarding the sources making it impossible to find them. �Accidental plagiarism: where students do not understand what document is and how to do it �Ask students to keep a logbook of their learning throughout the project/thesis. �Intentional plagiarism: i. e. , cutting/pasting, or presenting
