High Impact Practices: Teaching, Learning, and Student Engagement Academic Affairs will prioritize: The discussion, modeling, and mentoring of effective teaching.
Teaching and Learning § Implement the Faculty Fellows Program § Synthesize data on the current status use of high impact practices § Ask departments to identify 6 -8 activities or experiences essential for meeting learning outcomes.
Student Engagement §Complete the advising self-study; build a multi-year advising plan §Expand § use of Messina Check in Focus on Mentorship
Innovation To meet the demands of a diverse and changing world, Academic Affairs will: Build a culture that embraces open-minded, creative and optimistic approach to problem recognition, definition and resolution across all disciplines.

Voluntary Tenured Faculty Early Retirement Program Who is eligible to apply? § Faculty members § Whose age plus years of service equal 80 on July 1, 2019 § Who are not currently on phased retirement or other voluntary program § Who are not separated from the University for other reasons § Who are not taking a sabbatical in the next two years § What is being offered? § Two years of salary and some cash to pay toward COBRA to retire June 30, 2019 or June 30, 2020 § Will everyone who applies get accepted? § It depends on who applies and how many apply; §
