AC Power Distribution An extensive line of power
AC Power Distribution An extensive line of power distribution, conditioners, sequencers, surge protection and accessory devices that deliver superior equipment protection
AC Power Distribution / Conditioners 19” & ½ 1 RU Rack Mount AC Power Conditioning and Distribution Units Electrical Power Sequencing control modules, featuring sequenced turn on receptacles and voltage monitoring
Included Features Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Filtering • Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is commonly introduced into the AC lines by nearby radio transmitters or wireless products • Typical sources of RF signals include AM & FM radio stations, walkie-talkies and mobile phones • If the RFI is audible, it can take many forms such as buzz, noise bursts, speech, or music
Included Features Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Filtering • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is commonly introduced into the AC lines by electric motors, switching power supplies and lightning • The disturbance may degrade the performance of the circuit or even stop it from functioning
Included Features Circuit Breaker Protection • Circuit breaker protection is used along with grounding for protecting electronic appliances from overloading and heat build-up • Circuit breaker protection is essential in today’s world because the safety mechanism of this equipment guards a structure and its occupants against the electrical hazards of faulty wiring, damaged insulation, improper grounding, short-circuit and voltage fluctuations
Included Features Surge Protection • A voltage spike or surge, is a transient event, typically lasting 1 to 30 microseconds, that may reach over 1, 000 volts • Spikes can degrade wiring insulation and destroy electronic devices • Spikes can also occur on telephone and data lines, when AC main lines accidentally connect to them
Special Feature Glossary Dual Clamping Suppression (DCS) • If a spike intrudes the AC system, the incoming AC Mains has special suppression circuitry to eliminate the unwanted energy, and in the unlikely event of any energy getting passed the first stage, each output section has redundant DCS circuitry, clamping the unwanted energy • This circuitry is very fast and can suppress unwanted energy within a nanosecond, while sustaining the suppression up to 2 milliseconds, thus ensuring virtually trouble-free protection
Special Feature Glossary Unswitched • The 120 VAC Unswitched outlets are always live when the power cord is plugged into an AC mains power source and when voltage is present • The AC mains power switch does not affect the Unswitched AC Outlets • The Unswitched Outlets are protected by the surge protection circuitry, but will not be shut off by EVS circuitry
Special Feature Glossary Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) • EVS (Extreme Voltage Shutdown) is intended to remove AC power from devices plugged into the switched outlets in the event of unsafe high or low voltage conditions • If an extreme voltage swing occurs above 132 VAC or below 101 VAC, the Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) protection circuit will automatically activate and turn all outlets off until it is manually reset
Special Feature Glossary Emergency Power Down (EPD) • The EPD may be required by the local fire code to pass site inspection • This port when activated, turns Off all the SWITCHED outlets at once
