Abstract Watercolor Objective: You will use knowledge of compositional strategies in order make an abstract watercolor that demonstrates a verb or phrase. DRILL: Thursday and Friday- just get started. Today- learn abstract watercolor- work on watercolor or acrylic. 1. Get a cup of water, brush for watercolor, and newspaper square for drying brush. 2. We will look at a few ideas for showing action or concepts in abstract painting. 3. Goal: To pick one or more of Richard Serra’s phrases or verbs and attempt to make an artwork that shows that word.
