What is Shared System Services • UT System created a shared services initiative to consolidate redundant information technology and business services for academic institutions • Purpose is to provide a collaborative environment to support Shared Services Application Implementation and participating members from multiple UT institutions • Encompasses the concept of shared governance • Overseen by both SIS and representatives of the participating campuses • Includes Operating and Functional Committees • Focus is Application Support as well as network and hardware, DBA, security, etc. 5
History of People. Soft HCM at UT System • May 2014 – Transitioned 7 academic institutions to People. Soft 9. 1 from legacy in-house • Absence Management was included in the HCM module scope • September 2018 – Implemented UTRGV from Oracle E-Business Suite to People. Soft 9. 2 • May 2019 – UTRGV progresses to People. Tools 8. 56 / PUM 28 -29 • June 2019 – UTShare upgrades to People. Soft 9. 2 • • Progressed to People. Tools 8. 56 / PUM 27 All Academic institutions now utilize People. Soft HCM 9. 2 6
Absence Analytics • New feature for UTShare / UTRGV for 9. 2 • All academic institutions support the same or similar configuration and processing in Absence Management • Overall effort is to align all institutions with a common reporting and approval approach • Allows Administrators and Supervisors based on campus business roles to analyze their absence data • Reduces the need for running queries and reports, provides enhanced data analytics to analyze absence and payroll results, and improves the efficiency of approving absence requests through UI 7
Absence Analytics Overview • Enable Absence Analytics, Payroll Analytics, and Pivot Grids options in ABM Installation Settings • Manage Pagelet Configuration for Dashboard pages • GP Analytics is updated through the Absence calculation process or ad-hoc • Configurable for open calendar groups and retro transactions • Allows supervisor approvals and notification workflow for EEs • Can be used for individual approvals or bulk mode approvals of leave requests • Displays drill-down functionality and enhanced high-level reporting & analysis

Load Absence Analytics Data Ad-hoc • Before analyzing the absence data using the delivered absence analytics charts, prepare and load the absence data. • Use the Refresh Employee Information (HGA_EMPREF_RUNCNTL) page to update the employee information with the most current data. • Run the Load Absence Analytics Data (HGA_PG_RUNCNTL) process for a specified date range. 12

Simplified Analytics • Enables users to create contextual analytic reports • Create own reports based on pre-defined templates by selecting fields, prompt fields, layouts, and types of visualizations • Generate and publish reports to Pivot Grid users • Available for Fluid components only / Portal navigation • Can be added to Fluid related content pages 19
Simplified Analytics in My Team • Slide-out supplementary panels provide related information to help managers complete their transactions • Managers can use the My Analytics tab to create their own personalized analytics • Individualized configurable simplified analytics ondemand • Filtered views can be saved for later on-demand needs 20
