Closing Thoughts As a non-native, I am a learner in my classroom. I practice and model First Peoples Ways of Learning. I collaborate with Elders and Knowledge Keepers.
For Elementary Grades try to introduce simple words and phrases in the local language which relate to the activities. Work closely with Elders. For Secondary Grades have students choose their own theme and research and develop connections between Math and Aboriginal Culture.
