IPx/S 3. 1. 1 IP Router / IP Interface Overview © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 2 § The ABB i-bus® IP devices IPx/S 3. 1. 1 connect the KNX bus with an Ethernet network. KNX telegrams can be sent to or received from other devices via the network. § The IPS/S 3. 1. 1 (IP Interface) can be used as a programming interface (ETS), and clients, e. g. visualizations, can access the KNX bus via one of the integrated tunneling servers. § The IPR/S 3. 1. 1 (IP Router) can be used as line- or area coupler in installations with an IP backbone. (The Interface functionality is also included. )

IPS/S 3. 1. 1 IP Interface Functions The IPS/S 3. 1. 1 (IP Interface) features the following functionality: © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 3 § Uses the KNXnet/IP protocol from the KNX Association for communication (tunneling). § Features five tunneling servers which support both bus monitor and group monitor mode (alternatively).

IPS/S 3. 1. 1 IP Interface Overview of functions Different application programs are available with the IPS/S 3. 1. 1 for ETS 3 and ETS 4/5. Some of the functions for the ETS 4/5 are not available in the application program for the ETS 3. © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 4

IPR/S 3. 1. 1 IP Router Functions The IPR/S 3. 1. 1 (IP Router) features the following functionality: © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 5 § Uses the KNXnet/IP protocol from the KNX Association for communication (routing and tunneling). § Supports the full filter table for all main groups, i. e. main groups 0… 31 (or group addresses 1… 65, 535 with free group address view). ETS supports this function from version 4. 1. 7. § Features five tunneling servers which support both bus monitor and group monitor mode (alternatively). § In addition to KNX standard multicast communication, up to ten ABB IP Routers IPR/S 3. 1. 1 can communicate with each other via the unicast protocol. § Supports the KNX standard function "Monitoring for bus voltage failure". This is a network management function, which is used by visualizations.

IPx/S 3. 1. 1 IP Router / IP Interface Functions both devices © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 8 § Power can be supplied via Po. E (Power over Ethernet) according to IEEE 802. 3 af class 1 or via an auxiliary voltage. § The ABB i-bus® Tool is available for both devices. It allows the devices to be found in the network (IP discovery) and the firmware to be updated if necessary. § New and innovative housing available § Network cable connection relocated § New label carrier § Mounting to DIN rail without tools § Cover cap for KNX and power supply

IPx/S 3. 1. 1 IP Router / IP Interface New version of ABB i-bus® Tool § § Allows the devices to be found in the network (IP discovery). Firmware of devices can be updated if necessary. § Settings for unicast communication are done by i-bus Tool (only Router) § Separate installation of Falcon is not necessary any more, the Falcon is included in the tool. © ABB Group December 5, 2020 | Slide 9
