Tasks Introduction Task Process Evaluation Resources There are four parts to this task: 1. Find a definition of the word “robot, ” and where the word came from. Use your definition to write an essay on the way robots are usually depicted in the media. 2. Construct a timeline that shows the progression of mechanical devices leading up to the robot. 3. Make a poster diagram of a current robot, and label the parts. Present it to the class, along with a description of its current and possible uses. 4. Given a budget, specify the design and construction of a robot to perform a needed task, including hardware, software, power supply, safety equipment, and a plan to market the robot to the public.
