A Tale of Two Builders Luke 6 46
“A Tale of Two Builders” Luke 6: 46 -49
Luke 6: 46 -49
Jesus teaches the importance of building our life upon a good, solid foundation, so that we can stand against the most torrential storms of life. #wisebuilder
All of us are building our life, but upon which kind of foundation are we building?
1. Storms of life will come.
Jesus teaches that storms will come into our life.
One was a wise builder and the other was a foolish builder. (Matthew 7: 24 -27)
Storms affect us in every way.
Since we know storms are coming we should believe the Bible, receive the Bible, and obey the Bible. #wisebuilder
Storms reveal the foundation of our house/life.
God uses storms in our life to test the integrity of our foundation (and faith), and to see whether or not we are fully trusting Him.
2. We can be a foolish builder.
We can’t have Christ without obeying the commands of Christ.
3. We can be a wise builder.
Jesus equates being a wise builder with being a Word doer. #obedience
1) Belongs to the Son of God. #wisebuilder

1) We must hear it. 2) We must heed it. #wisebuilder
Stated Belief/Actual Practice = Actual Belief Our actions demonstrate what we really believe.
'Thus speaketh Christ our Lord to us, You call Me Master and obey Me not. You call Me light and see Me not. You call Me the way and walk Me not. You call Me life and live Me not. You call Me wise and follow Me not. You call me fair and love Me not. You call Me rich and ask Me not. You call me eternal and seek Me not. If I condemn thee, blame Me not. ' Cathedral in Lubeck, Germany
If we are building our life on anything other than the foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ, then we are foolishly building on shifting sand.
God didn’t intend for the Bible to be written down only; He intended for it to be believed and lived out wholly.
