Format of Letters to Seven Churches • • Angel of the church addressed Description of Jesus I know. . . Encouragement (if possible) The Good commended (if possible) The bad condemned (if needed) The overcoming blessing (overcome=8 times) Whoever has ears…Spirit says to churches These letters to seven churches are not part of this class, to be covered in sermons and other classes 8 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, 'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: 9 "I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this. " 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. . .

Seven lamps of fire were burning before throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 Before throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is to come!"

Chapter Four: You Believe in God. . . • • • 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before throne, which are the Open door and invitation to come up seven Spirits of God. Things which must take place afterwards 6 Before throne there was a sea of glass, One sitting on a throne like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and Like jasper, sardius, emerald rainbow around the throne, were four living creatures Around throne=24 elders, robes & crowns full of eyes in front and in back. From throne: Lightning/thunder/voices 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the Before throne: Lamps=the 7 Spirits of God second living creature like a calf, the third living Before throne=sea of glass creature had a face like a man, and the fourth In midst & around throne= 4 living creatures living creature was like a flying eagle. Appearance; eyes, wings, like. . . a lion, a calf, 8 The four living creatures, each having six face of a man & flying eagle wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is to come!"

Chapter Four: You Believe in God. . . • Living creatures • Give glory honor & thanks to the eternal One 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before throne, saying: 11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created. "

Chapter Four: You Believe in God. . . • • • 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, Living creatures 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Give glory honor & thanks to the eternal One Him who sits on the throne and worship Him Aa the 24 elders worship Him, who lives forever and ever, and cast their Casting down their crowns before throne, saying: You are worthy to receive glory/honor/power 11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory You created all, and by YOU all are & exist and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created. "

Scroll in right hand of One on throne Written on both sides and sealed Strong angel, “Who is worthy to open… No one (future known only to deity) John wept, no one can open “future” in scroll Weep not, Lion and Lamb is worthy In midst of throne/elders/four creatures 1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals? " 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. 4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals. " 6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb. . .

No one (future known only to deity) 7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the John wept, no one can open “future” in scroll right hand of Him who sat on the throne. " 11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many Scroll in right hand of One on throne angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten Written on both sides and sealed thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of Strong angel, “Who is worthy to open… thousands, No one (future known only to deity) 12 saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb John wept, no one can open “future” in scroll who was slain To receive power and riches and Weep not, Lion and Lamb is worthy wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and In midst of throne/elders/four creatures John sees slain, living Lamb=seven horns/eyes blessing!" 13 And every creature which is in heaven and on He has (authority) and the fulness of Spirit the earth and under the earth and such as are in Lamb takes scroll worship begins the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: Living creature and elders worship "Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to A new song: “You are worthy because: ” Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, All creation in heaven and earth forever and ever!" Four creature=Amen 14 Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" Twentyfour elders fall down and worship And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. Chapter Five: Believe Also in Me. . .
