OBJECTIVEs Ø To Design and Fabricate a Rotary Shearing Machine. Ø To test the fabricated Rotary Shearing Machine. Ø To perform multiple operations. 2/20/2018 GROUP NO. 6 2
INTRODUCTION Ø Shearing is defined as operation which is used to cut sheets of metal into smaller pieces without forming chips. Ø Cutting can be easily performed with accuracy. Ø The machine is manually operated and can easily cut the long sheets. 2/20/2018 GROUP NO. 6 3
ASPECTS OF PROJECT Ø Shaft Ø Bed Ø Rotary Cutter Ø Manually Operated Handle Ø Dies Ø Housing Bearings Ø Nuts & Bolts Ø Frames 2/20/2018 GROUP NO. 6 4
advantages Ø It is manually operated and not require electric power. Ø Multiple operation can be performed. Ø Less maintenance cost. Ø It can be easily moved from one place to another. 2/20/2018 GROUP NO. 6 5
disadvantages Ø It cannot cut material more than 5 mm thickness. Ø Operator is required to perform operations. Ø Time loss on changing dies. 2/20/2018 GROUP NO. 6 6
