A Note to Facilitators Dear Facilitator, Thank you for using Rural PREP’s materials to create an active learning experience for your site. Use this slide deck, along with the Facilitator Lesson Plan, to facilitate a Grand Rounds event at your site. Many of the slides contain additional information in the presenter notes area, so be sure to review the presentation and the notes prior to your Grand Rounds event.

Team Activity Step 1: Pair in twos and pick one task • Pick a rural residency: For those groups who are primarily comprised of medical students, each pair looks up a rural residency program, first following the map of rural programs, visits the website, and then downloading the PDF on Am I Rural? , using the zip code of the site of the residency’s continuity clinic. • Pick a rural place of practice: For those groups primarily comprised of residents, each pair looks up a potential rural place of practice, explores the community on the web and downloads the PDF on Am I Rural? , using the zip code of the rural community
