Purpose? l 2) Federal Securities Act, required accurate information from companies on stock offerings.

Helping the American People l Goals of the Roosevelt administration was to provide relief to farmers and other workers, in an attempt to stimulate the economy. l The New Deal consisted of many programs to help the American public.

WHY? l 2) CCC, put young men 18 -25 to work on infrastructure projects. l 3) NIRA, sought to promote industrial growth by establishing codes of fair practice for individual industries.

The New Deal Comes Under Attack l In 100 days in office Roosevelt had some huge accomplishments. l However, he was going to soon come under attack. l Liberals argue Roosevelt didn’t go far enough; Conservatives argue he went to far and was controlling business.
