Introduction • The domain of Mogosoaia was bought by the prince Constantin Brancoveanu in 1680, and today it is part of the historical monuments list. • It is located at 15 km from the center of Bucharest. • It has undergone countless changes over time, and today it is hard to see the character of a historic park. • This is the main reason why a historical analysis of the park is required, the management plan being the way it can be brought back to the landscape as close as possible to the historical value of the past. Results and discussions • 1680 - Buy the domain Constantin Brancoveanu from the Mogoș boyar (hence the actual name of the palace) • 1688 - The church of St. George is being built • 1717 - Stefan Cantacuzino buys the domain • 1830 – Gheorghe Bibescu buys the domain • 1860 -1880 - It belongs to Nicolae Bibescu - renovates the palace, builds Enchingen Villa and arranges the family tomb in the park • 1911 - George Valentin Bibescu buys and presents his wife Martha Bibescu who renovates the garden and the palace together with the chief architect of Venice, Domenico Rupolo • 1914 - Because of the First World War was interrupted the restoration works and the palace was bombed • 1921 -1922 - Venetian, Italian and Spanish gardens are built on the shores of the lake and the orchard is planted, the English gardens are restored International Student Symposium "Hortus Academicus“ April 20, 2018 - Bucharest, Romania

Results and discussions • 1945 - Mogosoaia is nationalized forced by the Communist government • 1955 - Martha Bibescu brought a landscape horticulturist who replanted the park with rare essences and set up the entrance to the park where it is today at the end of the lake before entering the park • 1977 - The earthquake devastates the park, the stone columns fall, the brick arches of the courtyard are demolished, and the statuary group representing the goddess Minerva collapsed along with Targoviste gate, the lithic elements degrading in time • Recently, on the protection area of the monument were built houses • The domain was fragmented, part of the park was given to the villagers, a new section of fence was drawn, the alley was abandoned, and the access was through the area of the dependents, the castan alley being integrated as a whole • 2001 - The garden of roses is restored, the terraces from the lake are being cleaned, and there also lithic elements such as an ornamental pot, the lion on the shore, the Brancovenian column and capitel International Student Symposium "Hortus Academicus“ April 20, 2018 - Bucharest, Romania
