Tragedy Pure tragedy and disappointment I’ve lost faith in the world I used to hear the kids next door laughing and having fun But now… nothing

All I see these days are people getting sick and going to hospital, But you see, the doctors and nurses no longer have the tools and equipment to cure them People are dying all around me, the food and water is running out, vanishing. There is no way to escape this devastating mess The world is ending, as we know it.

One morning, I woke and my family had just disappeared, as well as the rest of the population. It was like the rest of the world had simply just faded away like a footprint that had been left in the sand. As time evaporated and I got older, I began to feel isolated. So I began to create something marvellous. A friend.

Around the ancient, abandoned town, I found some tools and things that I would use to create ‘a friend’. I began to assemble my magical creation. Multiple screws and bolts that I found on the street were used to create the creature made of metal and iron, I finally had a friend.

He talked and played with me, I wasn’t alone anymore. As time passed, I grew old and weak; I didn’t know how long I had anymore. When I’m gone, ‘a friend’ that had kept me company for all these years will be all alone. So I began to create another ‘friend’. I began to pass away.

I never completed the second ‘friend’ ‘A friend’ rotted and crumbled away with the rest of the world, forgotten, never to be seen again.
