ADVANTAGES 1. Serve as a splint i: e reduces pain, control bleeding, protect the healing socket from trauma. 2. Psychological advantage( pt: is spared from inconvenience & stress of edentulousness). 3. 4. Pt: regains function faster e. g: speech & mastication. 5. 6. Less change in facial appearance 7. 8. Less TMJ disturbances. More compatibility with oral surroundings as tissues have not yet changed position. Natural teeth aid in vertical relation positioning & selecting artificial teeth. Easy to refit by relining.
