A Comment about WireCell vs 2 D Approach
A Comment about Wire-Cell vs. 2 D Approach • Track/Shower charge in 3 D hits in 2 D • The goal of the reconstruction is to figure out the correct association of the 2 D hits to 3 D objects • Wire-Cell Imaging basically tells us which hits CANNOT be associated together – Hits from different time slice CANNOT be associated together – Hits with “different” charge is UNLIKELY to be associated together – Track/Shower hypothesis not used yet • If you CANNOT see by your own eye, why do you expect software can solve it?

Garfield Simulation for Argon. Discussion • Garfield-based tuned field response is longer in time (slower drift velocity) – Deconvoluted signal is sharper • Noise level seems to be smaller with Garfieldbased field response • Note: filter function was not tuned for these kind of long signal
Summary • Deconvolution can recover the signal for tracks close to perpendicular to the wire plane for the Argon. Tube data • Garfield simulated response function does not totally match with data • Noise level in Argon. Tube is higher than Micro. Boo. NE? (Need to understand the Gain/Shaping Time Setting) 46
