A brief History. �Founded in 1950 fourth generation of the family Pala was initially known in between bottlers for its bulk production. Mario Pala is now the owner from 1995. Mario renew winery and vineyards with an eye to the quality.

The Vineyards �PALA has 6 different vineyards in six different locations. The cellar is located in the historic centre of the village of Serdiana, 18 km north east from Cagliari, Sardinia’s capital.

Sardinia: the Nuraghi 2, 500 b. C. The Nuraghi were the tallest buildings in the Mediterranenan area after the pyramids in Egipt. Sardinia still counts 7, 000 Nuraghis, the estimation is that they were more than 10, 000 They were built like castels some of their ruins are still 65 meters tall. I FIORI �I Fiori range represents the Classic DOC’s from Sardinia. From the super local Nuragus and Monica to the most famous varieties of the island Vermentino and Cannonau. Classic for Pala means a very selected grapes and a vinification respecting the varietal, the terroir, the perfect soil type and a vinification who saves and not cover all this caratheristics. This is for us Sardinia, and family and viticulture. Even the label with and Acquilegia Nuragica flower is dedicated to our land. The Grand Crus : S’ARAI The best soil and the best exposure. More than sixty years of experience worth the quality of the S’Arai (means the plough) vineyard and the quality of the Cannonau, Carignano and Bovale that are selected for this wine. S’Arai (and also Essentija) worth to Pala the membership of the Comitato Grandi Cru d’Italia, the association of the top 140 producers of Crus of Italy. S’Arai is a limestone, clay hill at 200 mt asl with south exposure. The grapes are harvested in three different times for each varietal.
Entemari, pure Sardinian light. Entemari (literally Sea Breeze) is Pala’s top white is a super selection (but not a single vineyard)of Vermentino, Chardonnay and Malvasia Sarda harvested in three different times. Is not easy to produce a white of this longevity, that’s why Entemari is only made in the good harvest years. Entemari is considered the top white from Sardinia from each wine guide and is the first white wine from Sardinia to be a Gold Medal Winner at Vinitaly.
